Welcome To Ken Smith, Ministries

"Proclaiming Jesus in The Marketplace for over 20 years"

A Quote From George McCloud

"I simply argue that the cross be raised in the middle of the marketplace. For Jesus was not crucified in a church between two candles but on a cross between two thieves. A place so cosmopolitan they had to write his name in 3 languages: Greek, Hebrew, Aramaic. ( we could say Spanish, Arabic and English today).
It was the town garbage heap. Where thieves cursed, cynics hurled insults, soldiers gambled. That is where he chose to die and those are the people he chose to die for ... and that is where the church needs to be and those are the people we ought to care for as well. " George McCloud

Ken Smith's Ministries exist to encourage Christians in their journeys and to tell the story of Jesus in an exciting way! For over 20 years now Ken has proclaimed a living Christ in conferences, rallies and in youth camps and mens events. Still at it; Ken's desire is that every person he encounters will know Christ and be on a journey of faith that makes them a "living" Bible - a minister in their market place.

Ministry update October 1
It is hard for me to believe that I am actually listing my address as Tallahassee Fl on this web page! Dee and I are so excited to say that we are in Tallahassee. Our furniture arrive on Monday 8 and we will be living at 9175 McDougal Court in Tallahassee. Moving and selling a house does take its toll on old people. We have to unpack starting Monday and try and get set up for the holidays that are all in front of us. We shall see how it all works out. But we are excited and prayerfully seeking a new church and making new friends out of old ones. So many have asked, "Why Tallahassee?" Simple.it was the longest pastorate of my ministry (Fellowship Baptist Church), Karen graduated from High School, here, Richard played on a State Championship team here. I served as chaplain for Bobby and FSU . It is also makes driving to events about 4 hours closer than Leesburg was. It is closer to Donnelle's sister, and my siblings in Mississippi. It will be exciting to get settled and have a home phone again.
The ministry is going well with events in Spartanburg, Cedartown, GA we have managed to stay busy. I will be speaking in October for Georgia Baptist Convention, and make a trip to minister with WhoUWith Ministry in Nashville as well. I even hope to sneak a trip into Trenton to see my grandkids too.
I want to thank all of you who support our ministry by prayer and money. We are need that and I hope you will continue to do so. .

"Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me. Do not banish me from your presence, and don't take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me again the joy of your salvation, and make me willing to obey you. "  Psalm 51:10-12 (NLT)
