Welcome To Ken Smith, Ministries

Summer is Comming. Don't Forget Get To Put

On You SONglasses When packing on you sunglasses

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

Schools is out. Vacations planning. A new season is upon us.
But as you put on your sunglasses. Don't lay aside you SONglasses.

Donnelle and I are Sharing "What's Next"

“I simply argue that the cross should be raised at the center of the marketplace as well as on the steeple of the church. I am recovering the claim that Jesus was not crucified in a cathedral between two candles, but on a cross between two thieves; on the town’s garbage heap; at a crossroad so cosmopolitan that they had to write His title in Hebrew and Latin and Greek … at the kind of place where cynics talk smut, and thieves curse, and soldiers gamble. Because that is where He died. And that is what He died for. And that is what He died about. That is where churchmen ought to be and what churchmen ought to be about.” – George Macleod

" The Book by my friend Dan Britton is called One Word recommends you chose a word to be the guide for this year. I have chosen "focus." I am going to "focus" on knowing the Lord. I am going to focus on what matters in life. I am going to "focus" on serving others. I am going to "focus" on sharing the gospel in my world. My verse is Matthew 6:33 "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." Will you join me this year and shape your life by "Focus"

Ken Smith's Ministries exist to encourage Christians in their journeys and to tell the story of Jesus in an exciting way! For over 20 years now Ken has proclaimed a living Christ in conferences, rallies and in youth camps and mens events. Still at it; Ken's desire is that every person he encounters will know Christ and be on a journey of faith that makes them a "living" Bible - a minister in their market place.

How are You doing so Far...
The call had always been to Grow. Our ministry is geared toward two things:

1. Encouraging you live life to Make faith a growing process!

Philippians 1:6 Amplified Bible (AMP)
And I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that He Who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ [right up to the time of His return], developing [that good work] and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you. Paul encountered along the way folks who were content to be stagnant in faith admonishing them that they should be eating meat, and he had to give them milk. We try to encourage a growth in the relationship with Christ.

2. Our ministry tries to encourage a faith that translates into the market place of life.

We want to encourage folks to share their faith in the places they live... It is not just a Sunday morning deal ... it is a daily deal. Join us along the way as KSM ministers to folks in the marketplace

Ministry update on June 1

Thanks for coming buy our site... Please sign the guest book and let me know who you are and where you live and if you would loike to know where we will be. I am so excited that the Lord still allows me to preach and teach and celebrate that all the time.
I have had a great month of May. Preached in Houston Ms with my old friend Daniel Herringa but more than that the folks at Houston who candidly have become my favorite place over the years. I spent time at a class reunion and got to preach at the event, that is full of great laughs and nostalgic moments. Saw my old classmates and played a little golf.
Perhaps the greatest part of the month was attending the graduation of Daniel, My oldest grandchild, who is on the way to college at MSU. He is a great kid and I am already praying for great friends at his new school. We also spent a week at Destin with the Fultons.
Now comes June... And things get busy to say the least. Three days with part of my Pastor's conference the first week. Then I will be in Knightdale, NC for a men's conference on Father's Day and speak at Bob Johnson's men's gathering. I will be in MS for as FCA board training session, The Cove and Coach's camp at Black Mountain. Great time of gathering.

I am excited that it will be a source of encouragement for you.

"Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me. Do not banish me from your presence, and don't take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me again the joy of your salvation, and make me willing to obey you. "  Psalm 51:10-12 (NLT)
